The FabLab Graz is the Fabrication Laboratory at the Institute of Innovation and Industrial Management (IIM), Graz University of Technology.
It is a MakerSpace where you can find machines such as lasercutter, vinyl cutter, CNC milling machines and 3D printers. Moreover, facilities for traditional manufacturing activities such as metalworking, woodworking and electronics prototyping are provided.
The Institute of Innovation and Industrial Management has a strong focus on teaching practical skills and applying them creatively. Therefore it encourages the students to invent and prototype not only in lectures such as „Design Thinking and Rapid Prototyping“ or the Product Innovation Project.
FabLabs aim to make this equipment available to everyone, not just students of art, design and engineering. Just bring your design idea along and make it in the FabLab Graz!
What we offer
The FabLab Graz has an extensive machine park so that you can realize your projects. We offer everybody access to 3D-printers, lasercutter, cnc-mills, 3D-scanner and much more.
Our team is also happy to help you if you are unsure on how to use our machines or if you have any questions.
If you visit us you will see some construction work on top of the FabLab building. This will be the new home of the FabLab Graz starting in 2018. Once we move we will have more space in order to provide you with more tools.
